Price Gregory International Selected by TC Energy to Help Construct the Keystone XL Pipeline

Selected to construct two spreads of large diameter pipeline in Nebraska and South Dakota

Expected to create approximately 1,200 jobs during construction, contributing to more than 10,000 high-quality U.S. job opportunities created by the Keystone XL Pipeline

KATY, TX – October 30, 2020 – Price Gregory International, Inc. (Price Gregory) today announced it has been awarded a contract from TC Energy Corporation (TC Energy) to construct two spreads of the Keystone XL Pipeline project. Under the terms of the agreement, Price Gregory will construct approximately 155 miles of large diameter pipeline in Keya Paha, Boyd, Holt and Antelope Counties in Nebraska and Lyman and Tripp counties in South Dakota. As a result, Price Gregory believes it will hire approximately 1,200 people during the anticipated two-year construction period and has committed to hiring locally and giving priority to qualified local businesses to support its efforts. Subject to contract execution and the project receiving required approvals, construction activities are expected to begin in the summer of 2021 near Winner, SD and finish near Norfolk, NE in 2022.

According to TC Energy, in addition to the 10,000 direct jobs created in United States, the Keystone XL Pipeline is expected to contribute approximately $55 million in property taxes in the first year of operation alone. Overall, completion of the project is estimated to deliver $3.4 billion in economic benefits to the United States. Construction of the project is well underway in Canada and the United States and is anticipated to enter operation in 2023.
